Aletheia Writing Magazine is geared toward Christian teens aged 13-19 and publishes poetry, stories, pictures (drawn & photographs), and book reviews submitted by Christian teens. This is a shortened description from Aletheia's website about the purpose of the magazine.
My daughter wrote the play for the Spring theater production of our homeschool group. It was very good (yes, I am biased, but it was still good :) ) Although it's too long to send in to be published in Aletheia, she's inspired to continue writing and possibly have the opportunity to be an upcoming edition.
There is actually a Writer's Challenge taking place until October 15th where teens have a chance to write and submit to get their piece in an upcoming edition, as well as free copies of the magazine to share. It's a neat opportunity, I think.
A subscription is $26 (USA) or $29 (Canada) for the 4 issues which includes shipping & handling. I know we are going to subscribe.
