Welcome!! I am so happy that you're wondering who I am and what this website is about. The main intent of the the site is to offer information on homeschooling to anyone that is searching. My blog (Reviews & Reflections) will have most of the posts as this is where my "talking" will be. The home page will have links and extras for you. Reviews & Reflections will offer you posts on product reviews that are relevant to homeschooling; whether curriculum based or just for fun, as well as posts on my personal reflections, thoughts, and perspectives. There are random contests that I will have, also. It's always fun to try and win :)

Who I am: I am Mona Lisa. I have been married to my husband for 17 years and we have 2 children. We are a christian, Bible believing family and attend a local Baptist church. We have homeschooled since the beginning. What, exactly, does that mean? It means that since our oldest was born, we have been educating her. Just as you have with your own children. Formal education starts whenever you pick up a workbook or coloring book, or count the petals of a rose, or recite the ABC's. Every family homeschools in the beginning. If you are on a journey to explore if homeschooling is right for you and your family, or if you're thinking "I can't do it"; YES YOU CAN! If you can help your child learn up to Kindergarten, why not more?

So, we have homeschooled since the beginning. Neither of our children has attended public or private school. They will be attending 12th grade and 6th grade this coming year. Yes, sometimes it's hard. But it is so worth it. They both take lessons in music, dance, theater and we are members of NCFCA, a national speech and debate organization. There are so many things that you can do and be involved in when homeschooling.

I am also an RN and work part-time for a level 1 Pediatric Emergency Room and a SANE. I do enjoy my work, but my family comes first and foremost.

I welcome questions, suggestions, or friendly hello's. Feel free to send me a message via the contact me button, or just leave a comment. I will be sure to get back to you.

So here I am, creating this site to tell you, and others, about homeschooling life, products, and...whatever else may come. ;) ♥
